Types of fabric sofa glue
There are various types of fabric sofa glue. Different types of glue can be selected according to the usage scenarios and performance requirements. Common fabric sofa glues include:
Water-based spray glue:
Features: Environmentally friendly and non-toxic, with water as the solvent, it has little impact on the environment and human body.
Application: Suitable for the bonding of fabric and substrates such as sponge and wood in fabric sofas, with good bonding effect and low VOC emissions.
Hot melt glue:
Features: Hot melt glue becomes liquid after heating, and quickly solidifies after cooling, with strong bonding force, and the cured glue layer has a certain flexibility.
Application: Although hot melt glue may not be the mainstream choice in fabric sofa production, it may be used in some special parts or detail processing.
Special fabric glue:
Features: This type of glue is usually designed for soft materials such as fabric, has good permeability and bonding force, and can ensure the firm bonding of fabric and substrate.
Application: Widely used in the production and maintenance of fabric sofas, especially the bonding of fabric with materials such as sponge and wood.
Construction steps
Cleaning the sofa surface:
Use a detergent to clean the sofa surface and remove grease, dust and other impurities. This step is very critical because impurities will affect the bonding effect of the glue.
Debugging the spray gun:
Check whether the spray gun function is normal and adjust the air pressure to the appropriate range (such as 3-5bar or 6 kg normal requirements).
Adjust the distance between the nozzle and the sofa surface as needed (such as 0.5 meters or within 20 cm) to ensure uniform spraying.
Uniform spraying:
Spray the glue evenly on the sofa surface with the nozzle. The nozzle should be perpendicular to the sofa surface or at a 45-degree angle. Choose the appropriate spraying method (straight or fan-shaped) according to the type of glue and construction requirements.
The spray gun should move evenly and smoothly during spraying to avoid glue accumulation or lack of glue.
Airing and bonding:
After spraying, let it air for a period of time according to the requirements of the glue manual (such as 1-5 minutes or until the glue layer is not sticky).
After airing, accurately align the parts to be bonded and apply appropriate pressure to make the bonding effect better.
